
Alan founded the firm in 1979.
Alan is a commercial and land use attorney. His practice includes the representation of financial institutions, real estate developers, and various businesses. He has been instrumental in assembling assets, securing investors and obtaining all approvals for various real estate investments and development.
A native Annapolitan, Alan founded Hyatt & Weber in 1979. In January 2007 the Firm moved to its new headquarters on the Fifth Floor of the Severn Bank Building. Mr. Hyatt is also the founder of Severn Bancorp, Inc., the parent company of Severn Savings Bank, and serves as its chairman. The stock of the company is traded on the NASDAQ.
Alan received his law degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1978, and is an honors graduate of Bryant College of Business Administration (now Bryant University). He is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and the Anne Arundel County Bar Association. He has also received Martindale Hubbell’s highest designation, “AV Preeminent”.
Alan serves as a board member for the Anne Arundel Community College Foundation and the Annapolis Community Foundation. He provides assistance to local, nonprofit organizations and speaks on various banking and real estate topics to businesses and community groups.
